There’s a natural tendency to treat accessories as finishing touches, something added once the outfit is complete. This edit starts much earlier.
OBJECTS OF ART
We’ve approached beaded necklaces and belts less as jewellery, and more as objects. The gloss of a bead against matte fabrics, a sharp pop of colour against restraint. Each piece carries its own sense of composition: scale, texture, and contrast.
But what defines them is not just what they are, but how they are placed.
Worn long, doubled, or allowed to fall asymmetrically, these create lines across the body: guiding the eye, shifting proportion, and adding movement to otherwise structured silhouettes.
A POINT OF INTERRUPTION
If the necklace draws a line, the bag breaks it. Soft, slouched forms sit against sharper tailoring, introducing a contrast that feels easy but considered. The structure of a blazer, offset by something more relaxed. A neutral look, disrupted by colour.
It’s this balance, between ease and intent that defines our spring mood.
THE DETAILS
Caps, socks, the smaller elements, easy to overlook, but essential to the whole. These ground the look, add continuity, and sometimes just enough contrast to make everything else feel complete.
Start with the accessory.
The rest will follow.
