A Small Step

Change a Child's Life
Every year, thousands of children in India run away or are forced to leave homes marked by poverty, violence, abuse, and neglect. For many, a railway station becomes the first step into an uncertain and unsafe world — a place where they slip through the cracks and into the hands of exploitation and danger.
That’s where Railway Children India steps in — reaching vulnerable children at railway stations before it’s too late, and working deep inside slum communities to ensure children never feel the need to run. By engaging parents, schools, and local authorities, they’re building safer communities where children are protected, supported, and given the childhood they deserve.
One of the most inspiring parts of this work is the rise of the Power Girls — a group of adolescent girls who, despite facing immense challenges like school dropouts, gender bias, and menstrual taboos, are rewriting their own stories. With support from Railway Children India, these girls are going back to school, stopping child marriages, raising their voices, and leading change in their communities.
They are not just dreaming — they are doing. I believe in the strength, spirit, and potential of every girl. That’s why I’ve joined hands with Railway Children India — and I’m inviting you to walk this path with me. Together, we can ensure more girls stay in school, grow up safe, and lead their lives with confidence and courage. A small step from you — just ₹5,000 — can be life-changing for a girl ready to rise.
Join me in this mission. Let’s give every girl the chance she truly deserves.
