COLLECTION NO 8
Spring Summer 2017
Collection No 8 follows the quest of the 431-88 woman as she tries to find herself and identify her true identity. A nomadic mind in every sense, she leaves the city to move with the tribes and in the process questions and justifies aspects of her personality.
Using snakes as a metaphor for someone who sheds her old skin for continued growth and a fresh perceptive, textures and textiles were developed inspired by their scaly skin.
Being an urban brand that has always been inspired by elements of sportswear, this collection pushed us to start questioning traditional indian wear and how the 431-88 woman was wearing it. Carrying forward the theme of rebirth and renewal with which the collection was developed, silhouettes have been adapted from kurtas, saris and blouses and re-imagined with contemporary influences.
Colours this season include sunrise yellow and shades of morning blue, which have been injected between our standard palette of white and black. Satin, crepes, cottons and suiting fabric form the backbone of the collection and show a new way of wearing Indianwear through the eyes of the 431-88 woman.
